The Falklands War – Before and After
These images were all taken either on the run-up to the invasion of the Falkland Islands, or afterwards.
The CVR(T)s are shown lined up at Southampton Docks ready for embarkation, training on Ascension Island, including live fire practice, loading and unloading before and after the landing, and the parade in Windsor after the Blues & Royals returned home. The tanks in the Windsor parade did not necessarily take part in the Falklands.
In these photos, they still retain their markings which were all painted over by the time of the invasion.
