The first turreted Ferret was the Mk.2. The turret was the same as used on the Saracen Mk.1 – not the larger Ferret turret (SMM3564T) we are familiar with. Mk.2 actually preceeded Mk.1 into production, so most (but not all) had the initial production square driver hatches on the sides.
Photos of Mk.2 in British service are almost non-existent. This represents a Royal Hong Kong Defence Force Mk.2 – also the first Ferret to use indicators (due to local traffic regulations).
