SMM3552P1 Centurion Mk.9/1 Mantlet Cover
The Mk.9/1 was converted from uparmoured and upgunned Mk.7s and was equipped with
IR headlights (SMM3552J) and therefore the searchlight which needed a mounting rail on the mantlet. A turret basket was also fitted to carry the searchlight when not in use. This mark was NOT equipped with a ranging machine gun.
With IR AND also a RMG, this tank became Mk.12.
